Testing
As soon as regained consciousness, I jetted down to the drug store and was greeted by an utter plethora of pregnancy tests. I selected the two most expensive, since we don’t want to go cheap on something as important as this. I looked at the tests to see if I could tell which would be the best, but I’m a guy, and I shouldn’t even be here in the first place. I immediate went home and waited sleeplessly for my wife to arrive home from her business trip. Two days went by, like two years. All I wanted to do was tell everybody that I was going to be a dad, but I couldn’t. We just were not sure yet. My wife sometimes goes through phases where she is irregular; it could be a false alarm. I just didn’t want to jump the gun.
When I got the call from her that she had landed at the airport, I considered bringing the pregnancy tests to the airport, but I think that she would want to do that in the privacy of our own home. When we got home the testing began. My wife took the test into the bathroom, and left me waiting anxiously in the bedroom…shaking.
